First of all – who doesn’t love Galentines Day?
Deemed the “new valentine’s” day for single women around the world to celebrate this day of love, with their girlfriends of course. Even women that are married or in serious relationships take the time out over the holiday to spend time with their girlfriends – ditching the roses, chocolates, and stuffy dinner dates for fun nights out on the town, boozy brunches, and of course non stop laughter with their best pals.
Galentine’s Day has become super popular over the last couple of years, and we are thankful that long gone are the days when us single girls had to feel slightly sorry for ourselves that we didn’t have anyone to love on us every February 14th. Not that we really felt sorry for ourselves but you get the point right?
Whether you are new to this or Galentine’s Day is your jam – here are 5 ways you can celebrate this year with your girls.
P.S. – Get the groupchat going, time to plan.

Do a Girls Night In
A good coin saver to say the least. A good girls night in always does the trick. Text your girls and invite everyone over for a fun night of dinner, drinks, and good ole’ tea. Have everyone bring their own dish, or designate who’s taking care of what course of the meal. Make sure you have plenty wine handy, and a good 90s R&B playlist going in the background.

Host a Galentines Day Brunch
For those of you that don’t wake up before 10am, and don’t want to be out late that night watching couples slob each other down like they won’t see each other the next day – brunch is for you. Typically, you won’t find many couples out on dates early in the day, so it’s prime time for you and your girls to hang out. Also for your girls that are in actual relationships, and planning on spending time with their bae’s – this is a great option to include them in all the fun they would otherwise miss out on. Make a reservation someplace you’ve all been wanting to go, set a time, and get your Galentines mimosas on!

Send each other Galentines Day Cards
This year ( and maybe we’re super late) is the first year Target started selling the Hallmark produced Galentines Day cards! So yes boo – when you go to Target this week and next, and walk past that red aisle of nothing but Valentine’s Day inspired things – be sure to catch the super chic, and super cute Galentine’s Day cards! Pick up a couple and send them to your girlfriends at work or at home. They won’t be expecting it, but it’s a cute and sweet reminder that you’re thinking of them, and hoping that they feel special like all the other girls in the world that day.

Catch A Workout Class Together
Since 2018 is all about coming for what is rightfully ours, and walking in our purpose – it would be bomb if you and your girls could get a workout class together, and then follow it up with a healthy dinner! Find a local class that you can meetup at like SoulCycle or Orange Theory, or just go to your local gym and meetup for some cardio and strength training. It’s much easier to workout with your friends, because you both can push yourselves to give your best during the workout. Also – brownie points for the both of you because while you’re both in the gym working on your snapbacks, your friends that are in relationships might be stuffing their faces with thousands of carbs and booze. #teamnocaloriesoverhere

Bake Cookies & Binge
Okay, we really didn’t mean #teamnocaloriesoverhere because we are definitely into baking cookies and binging on the sweets and our favorite Netflix shows. Super casual way to still get together with your girls, hopefully in sweatpants and with your hair still tied up because no one is getting cute to watch Netflix. Pop some popcorn, get the cookies rolling in the oven and binge away on all your faves!
